I got the scans back from last week’s lifestyle branding shoot with Vancouver model and designer Astrid Shapiro, and I couldn’t wait another minute to get these photos up!
Watching creative people work is one of my favourite things. When the creative person is question also happens to be incredibly stylish in her own right, I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot.
A lifestyle branding shoot is perfect if you’re launching your business, starting a new creative endeavour or need to spruce up your website and social media images. There’s so much room for creativity and exploration in communicating your voice and style. It’s the best.
I successful and versatile shoot goes beyond just nicely styled product shots. Those are important (especially if you’re a product-based business, duh) but for me, photographing you at work is the best way to capture your passion for your craft and your commitment to the people you serve. The branding shoot for Seed and Nourish is another great example of getting in your photos. We captured Carissa at work in a client garden, harvesting veggies and planting bulbs. It was a great way to let potential clients see her in her element and get to know who she is
These were all shot on Portra 400, and I can’t get enough of the rosy skin tones and smooth contrast in these photos (to say nothing of that yellow pop from the shirt Astrid made. More yellow, let’s all wear yellow shirts forever, ok?)
If you’re curious about planning a branding shoot of our own, don’t hesitate to drop me line! I’m always happy to answer any questions.
